Available with Production Mapping license.
You can move, or nudge, cartographic features such as representations and annotations by a distance of 10 pixels. The nudge representation or annotation tools allow you to move features to the right, left, top, or bottom. Nudging a representation creates a shape override.
- Start ArcMap.
- If necessary, load data with representations or annotation into ArcMap.
- On the main menu, click Customize > Toolbars > Production Cartography Editing.
- On the main menu, click Customize > Toolbars > Production Editing.
- Click the Production Start Editing button on the Production Editing toolbar.
- Select a representation or annotation feature.
- Click one of the nudge representation or annotation tools to move the selected features.
To nudge the representation or annotation to the right
Click the Nudge Right Representation Or Annotation button on the Production Cartography Editing toolbar.
To nudge the representation or annotation to the left
Click the Nudge Left Representation Or Annotation button on the Production Cartography Editing toolbar.
To nudge the representation or annotation up
Click the Nudge Up Representation Or Annotation button on the Production Cartography Editing toolbar.
To nudge the representation or annotation down
Click the Nudge Down Representation Or Annotation button on the Production Cartography Editing toolbar.
