Renaming an inserted element

Available with Production Mapping license.

You can click a cell containing an element in the Table Layout area to rename an inserted element.

1. Start ArcMap.
2. Verify that you are in layout view if necessary.
3. Right-click the graphic table element and click Properties.

   The Table Properties dialog box appears.

4. Click the Table Format tab if necessary.

   The Table Format dialog box appears.

5. Click Table Design.

   A Table Design dialog box appears, depending on the table format.

6. Click a cell containing an element.

   The associated cell coordinates display in the right-hand Elements pane.

7. If necessary, click the cell coordinates to expand the display in the Elements pane.
8. Right-click the element name and click Rename.
9. Type a new name in the text box.
10. Click outside the text box when you are finished typing the name.
