The latest release of Esri Production Mapping includes enhancements to existing features and functionality.

With this release, the following new geoprocessing tool is added to the Symbology toolset: Select Features By Symbol Color— Provides the ability to select a set of features based on their symbol color. This allows features with specific colors to be used as input into additional geoprocessing tools, such as the Intersecting Layers Masks tool.

Python site package
Functions and methods were added to the mapping module.
- The SetPageSize function was added to the ArcPyProduction site package. It changes the page size of an input map document.
- The page_units parameter was added to the calculateExtent function and specifies in which ArcGIS supported page units the output extent/AOI should be.
- The calculateScale method was added to the Grid class. It calculates the scale based on an AOI and data frame size.
- The calculateDataFrameSize method was added to the Grid class. It calculates the data frame size based on an AOI and scale.
Deprecated functionality
The PDF To TIFFgeoprocessing tool in the Conversion toolset was moved to the From PDF toolset in ArcGIS for Desktop.
10.2.1 was the final release in which MPS-Atlas was available for installation. It is recommended that map series created with MPS-Atlas be moved to data-driven pages. For more information, see Migrating an MPS-Atlas map book to Data Driven Pages.
The following custom marker placement styles and geometric effects have been removed: Rotation on Point, Offset tangent, Line extension, and Suppress outline. They are now part of ArcGIS for Desktop.
