With the Bathymetric Analysis toolset, you can extract points sampled from a bathymetric surface managed as a raster or mosaic dataset. Extracted points are written to a feature class or ASCII file. You can also reduce the point density of soundings or depth points.
Tool | Description |

Exports point features from a point surface model created within the Compose Surface window in ArcGIS for Maritime: Bathymetry.
Extracts depth point features from a surface created within the Compose Surface window in ArcGIS for Maritime: Bathymetry. Depth features are points sampled from an interpolated raster surface. Point spacing of extracted depth features will be in the planar distance of the input spatial reference.
Extracts depths from a surface model stored in a BIS workspace and converts depths to an ASCII file. This model allows you to share your depths with non-Esri software packages. This model runs Extract Depths and Depths To ASCII to create an output feature class and ASCII file.
Reduces the point density of a feature class of bathymetry soundings or depth points. A shallow or deep-biased output is created by thinning between a defined depth range and thinning according to an approximate distance around points. |
