Dissociating schematic feature classes from a diagram template

Dissociating a schematic feature class from a diagram template has a real impact on the content of the schematic diagrams generated by this diagram template:

• When a link schematic feature class is dissociated from a diagram template, this only causes the links implemented by this schematic feature class to no longer be contained in the existing diagrams and the diagrams generated after this configuration change to be built without these kind of schematic feature links.
• Dissociating a node schematic feature class not only causes the nodes of this class to no longer be contained in the diagrams, it should also have a real impact on the diagram topology. All the links connected to the nodes implemented by the dissociated node schematic feature class are then links without origin and/or end nodes. This will cause the schematic algorithm layouts to operate on a disconnected network when they are executed without being able to deal with those disconnected links.

The following section details how to dissociate a schematic feature class from a schematic diagram template:

1. Edit your schematic dataset within Schematic Dataset Editor.
2. If the schematic dataset resources are not arranged in a tree view in the Schematic Items window, click Views on the Schematic Dataset Editor toolbar and click Project Tree.
3. Click the desired schematic diagram template in the Schematic Items window in Schematic Dataset Editor.
4. Click the Associations tab.

   Each item on this tab corresponds to a schematic feature class specified in the schematic dataset. The items checked correspond to the schematic feature classes that are currently associated with the diagram template.

   

5. Uncheck the item that corresponds to the schematic feature class you want to dissociate from the diagram template.

   

   Hinweis:

   If the schematic feature class item that is unchecked corresponds to a schematic feature class no longer associated with any diagram template display, it appears in red on the Associations tab.

   Tipp:

   Clicking Clear All on the Properties tab's toolbar causes all schematic feature class items on the Associations tab to be automatically unchecked.

6. Click Save on the Schematic Dataset Editor toolbar.

Unchecking a schematic feature class item on the Associations tab related to a schematic diagram template automatically causes the item related to that schematic diagram template to be automatically unchecked on that schematic feature class' Associations tab, and conversely. You can also dissociate a schematic feature class from the Associations tab related to that schematic feature class. In this case, uncheck the item related to the desired schematic diagram template on this tab.
