Definition
ST_ConvexHull gibt die konvexe Hülle eines ST_Geometry-Objekts zurück.

Beispiel
In diesen Beispielen wird die Tabelle "sample_geometries" mit den drei Spalten "id", "spatial type" und "geometry" erstellt. In der Spalte "spatial type" mit dem Datentyp "varchar(18)" wird der Name der Geometrie-Subclass gespeichert, die in der Spalte "geometry" gespeichert ist. In die Tabelle werden drei Features eingefügt: ein Linien-, ein Polygon- und ein Multipoint-Feature.
Die für die Tabelle ausgeführte SELECT-Anweisung gibt die konvexe Hülle jeder Subclass-Geometrie zurück.
