An overview of the Utilities toolset

The Utilities toolset contains tools that allow you to modify geometric networks. Once modified, attributes can be updated based on a tracing task and a feature layer selected to update other layers in the network.

Tools in the Utilities toolset

Tool	Description
Mass Update By Tracing	Updates feature attributes in a geometric network using a field from Input Source Features. The tool can update any feature class that participates in the geometric network and is connected to Input Source Features. A trace task determines connectivity. Any feature connected to, upstream, or downstream of a feature in Input Source Features is updated.
