00224 - Invalid character in task name <value>

  • Solution

The task name has invalid characters. The name of the task will be directly used in the REST URL of the service being created. Not all characters are safe for use as a web URL. Characters that are not permissible include: \ / : * ? " ' < > ~ ` ! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) - + = { } [ ] | ; ? .

Solution

You must remove the invalid character from the task name. The task name can be renamed within the Service Editor. Alternatively you can exit the Service Editor, change the name of the task within the model or script properties page, re-run the task and attempt to publish again.
