The Advanced ArcMap Settings utility provides access to customization settings for ArcMap that cannot be changed within the software itself.
By default, the Advanced ArcMap Settings utility is installed to <install path>:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Desktop10.3.1\Utilities. The documentation for this utility—ArcGIS Desktop Advanced Settings Registry Keys—is in the same location. Refer to this document for instructions on using the utility.
