You can often gain performance by displaying multipatch textures in a compressed image format. Textures are the images displayed on the exterior shell of a multipatch features, so like regular images you may be used to (for example JPEG), compressing the images reduces the files size and improves memory management and performance.
- Right-click the multipatch layer in the table of contents and click Properties.
- Click the Globe Display tab and go to the Rendering section.
- Check theRendering with compressed textures option to enable it.
- Click OK.
The Layer Properties dialog box opens.
