Enabling animated rotation

Available with 3D Analyst license.

You can enable animated rotation using the Scene Properties dialog box or shortcut keys and then use a pointer gesture to start the 3D view rotating.

  1. In ArcScene, right-click Scene layers in the table of contents and click Scene Properties.
  2. Click the General tab.
  3. Check the box to Enable Animated Rotation.
  4. Click OK.
  5. The Navigate tool now has a circle around it when animated rotation is enabled.

Tip:
  • While in navigation mode, you can toggle on and off animated rotation in a specific viewer by pressing CTRL and SHIFT while clicking in that viewer.
