Changing the interactive selection target

You can choose whether to select cells from the foreground or background with the Interactive Selection Target setting. Cells that exist in the current target color are available for interactive selection. All other cells are ignored for interactive selection.

  1. Click the Cell Selection menu on the ArcScan toolbar.
  2. Click Interactive Selection Target.
  3. Click foreground or background cells.
  4. The Interactive Selection Target submenu reflects the new setting.

    Tip:
You can select small holes and gaps caused by poor scanning and fill them using the Fill Selected Cells command. Set background cells as the target.
