Finding the diagonal of the envelope of connected cells

The Find Diagonal Of The Envelope Of Connected Cells tool finds the diagonal distance from one corner of the cells' extent to the other. If you click the connected cells, the Select Connected Cells dialog box becomes available and appears with the selected cells' spatial information.

  1. Click the Find Diagonal Of The Envelope Of Connected Cells tool Find Diagonal of the Envelope of Connected Cells on the ArcScan toolbar.
  2. Place your pointer over the connected cells to display the envelope's diagonal length in a MapTip.
  3. Click the connected cells to open the Select Connected Cells dialog box, which is preset with the selected cells' spatial information.
