Creating a straight flight path

The Create Straight Flight Path command changes the flight path segment from curved to straight within the instrument approach profile view. This command is available when editing the instrument approach profile view.

  1. Start ArcMap.
  2. On the main menu, click View > Layout View.
  3. On the main menu, click Customize > Toolbars > Aviation Terminal Procedure.
  4. Click the Edit Instrument Approach Profile button Edit Instrument Approach Profile on the Aviation Terminal Procedure toolbar.
  5. Click a flight path segment in the profile view to select it.
  6. Right-click the selected flight path and click Create Straight Flight Path.

    Note:

    There will be no change to the flight path if a straight segment is selected.

The flight path segment is displayed as a straight line.
