Creating feature-linked annotation using geoprocessing

The Create Feature Linked Annotation geoprocessing tool allows you to create annotation outside an ArcMap session.

  1. Start ArcMap or ArcCatalog.
  2. Click the ArcToolbox button ArcToolbox on the Standard toolbar.

    The ArcToolbox window appears.

  3. Expand the tree view next to the Aviation Tools > Cartographic Production.
  4. Double-click the Create Feature Linked Annotation tool.
  5. Click the browse button next to the Product Library Workspace text box and select the product library workspace that contains the products for which you want to create annotation.
  6. Click the browse button next to the Aviation Production Database Workspace text box and select the aviation production database workspace that contains the data associated with the products.
  7. Check the check box next to one or more annotation feature classes to process in the Input Annotation Feature Class list.
  8. Check the check box next to one or more instances to process in the Instances to process list.
  9. Click OK.
