Editing the ILS feather

You can resize and modify the angle of the Instrument Landing System (ILS) feather element within the instrument approach profile view to create a more accurate portrayal of the ILS in an Instrument Approach Procedure.

  1. Start ArcMap.
  2. On the main menu, click Customize > Toolbars > Aviation Terminal Procedure.
  3. Click the Edit Instrument Approach Profile button Edit Instrument Approach Profile on the Aviation Terminal Procedure toolbar.
  4. Click on the ILS feather element to select it.

    A blue selection outline appears with nodes at the feather vertices.

  5. Click the ILS Feather node where it intercepts the vertical line.

  6. Drag the selected node to modify the ILS feather element length and angle.

    The ILS feather size and/or angle is changed.
