Starting the service controller

Available with Data Reviewer license.

Note:

ArcGIS 10.3 Data Reviewer is the final major release where the Data Reviewer service will be available. It is recommended that you migrate to a scheduled Windows task to run batch jobs on a regular schedule. For an example, see: Exercise 3: Running batch jobs as a scheduled task.

The Data Reviewer service controller can be manually started within Windows each time you start the machine on which the Data Reviewer service is installed. This can be necessary if the service controller executable file has not been added to the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup directory. When a shortcut to the executable file is added to this directory, the Data Reviewer Service Controller automatically starts when the machine is restarted.

Learn more about adding a shortcut to the Data Reviewer service controller

  1. Browse to <installation location>\ArcGIS\ArcGISDataReviewer\Desktop10.3\Bin and double-click the ReviewerServiceController.exe file.

The Data Reviewer Service Controller icon Data Reviewer Service Controller appears in the system tray.
