Stopping the Data Reviewer service

Available with Data Reviewer license.

Note:

ArcGIS 10.3 Data Reviewer is the final major release where the Data Reviewer service will be available. It is recommended that you migrate to a scheduled Windows task to run batch jobs on a regular schedule. For an example, see: Exercise 3: Running batch jobs as a scheduled task.

The Data Reviewer service can be started and stopped from the Data Reviewer Service Controller. When the service is stopped, the server log records when it has stopped, and the service is no longer a process running on your system.

  1. If necessary, browse to [install location]\ArcGIS\ArcGISDataReviewer\Desktop10.3\Bin and double-click the ReviewerServiceController.exe file to start the Data Reviewer Service Controller.
  2. Right-click the Data Reviewer Service Controller icon Data Reviewer Service Controller in the system tray and click Manage Service.

The Reviewer Service Control dialog box appears.

Reviewer Service Control dialog box with service started

  3. Click the Stop the Service button Stop the Service.

The service's status changes to Stopped.

  4. Click the Close button Close.
