Applying property settings from a configuration file

You can save Esri Defense Mapping configuration settings in the Property Configuration dialog box to a configuration file. The configuration file can then be used when you want to set up settings for another map document. Configuration files are stored at the following location:

  • On Windows XP—<Installation location>\Documents and Settings\<user login>\Application Data\ESRI\Production10.3\Desktop\Settings
  • On Windows 7, Vista, and Windows Server 2008—<Installation location>\Users\<user login>\AppData\Roaming\ESRI\Production10.3\Desktop\Settings

The configuration files for the following products are automatically installed:

  • GIFD
  • ICM
  • MGCP
  • TDS
  • TGD
  • VITD
  • JOG
  • TLM

The configuration files are in the product library for each product and will automatically be recognized and made available when you connect to the product library.

  1. Start ArcMap.
  2. On the main menu, click Customize > Toolbars > Defense Mapping.
  3. Click the Configuration Selection drop-down arrow at the far right of the toolbar and choose the configuration file that you want to apply.
