About turn data migration and preparation

Available with Network Analyst license.

If you already have turn data for other Esri network products that you want to use in a network dataset, do one of the following:

  • Migrate your existing shapefile data to a geodatabase and build a network dataset in that workspace.
  • Migrate your existing coverage data to a geodatabase and build a network dataset in that workspace.
  • Use your existing shapefile data to create a turn feature class in that shapefile workspace and build a network dataset.

Once the data participates in the network dataset, you might need to make edits to it.
