Adding a service-area index

Available with Network Analyst license.

Reduce service-area processing time and create more accurate generalized polygons by adding a service-area index to your network dataset.

1. Open the Network Dataset Properties dialog box.

   Learn how to open the Network Dataset Properties dialog box

2. Click the Optimizations tab.
3. Check Build Service Area Index.
4. Click OK to close the Network Dataset Properties dialog box.

   The Build Network Dataset dialog box appears.

5. Click Yes to build the network.
