Copying and pasting a step

The Task Assistant window context menu includes options for copying or pasting steps. You may find that copying and pasting existing steps is helpful if you want to recycle steps or step configurations.

For more information about step configuration, see Introducing the Designer tab.

  1. Right-click the step you want to copy in the Task Assistant window and click Copy Step.
  2. Right-click the step beneath which you want to paste the step and click Paste Step.

The copied step is pasted beneath the highlighted step.

    Note:

It is possible to copy and paste a number of steps at once using the Paste (with children) command. Right-click a parent step and click Copy Step. Right-click at the location you want to paste the steps and click Paste (with children).
