Exporting workflow and map document associations for the current user

As new task assistant workflows are created based on map documents, you can associate the workflows with the maps and export these relationships. Once the associations are exported, they can be imported by others in your organization so they have the most recent associations between workflows and map documents.

You can associate workflows and map documents through the Task Assistant window, then export the associations to an XML file that can be distributed to other people in the same organization.

  1. Start ArcMap.
  2. If necessary, click the Task Assistant button Task Assistant on the Task Manager toolbar to display the Task Assistant window.
  3. Right-click in the Task Assistant window and click Associate Workflow with MXD.
  4. Click Export.

The Export Associations dialog box appears.
