Naming a step

The Name is the step name displayed in the Task Assistant window.

1. Start ArcMap.
2. If necessary, click the Task Assistant button on the Task Manager toolbar to display the Task Assistant window.
3. Open a task assistant workflow.
4. Click to select the step to configure in the Task Assistant window.
5. Click the Designer tab.
6. Click the cell next to Name, double-click the existing text, then type a name for the step.
7. Press ENTER.

Tip:

You can also rename a step by clicking to highlight the step in the Task Assistant window, pressing F2, then typing a new name for the step.
