Saving the history log

You can choose to save a copy of the history log as a text file. A local copy can be helpful to maintain event information for each version of a particular Task Assistant workflow.

1. Start ArcMap.
2. If necessary, click the Task Assistant button on the Task Manager toolbar to display the Task Assistant window.
3. Open a task assistant workflow.
4. Click the History tab on the Task Assistant window.
5. Right-click in the History tab and click Save History.

   The Save History As dialog box appears.

6. Navigate to the location in which you want to save the history log as a text file.
7. Type a name for the file in the File name text box.
8. Click Save.
