Setting transparency for CAD feature layers

You can set transparency settings for CAD group layers or feature layers with the Effects toolbar or with the Layer Properties dialog box in the Display tab.

The following steps describe how to use the Effects toolbar.

  1. Right-click the main menu and click Effects.

    The Effects toolbar is opened.

  2. Click the Layer drop-down arrow and choose a CAD feature layer or group layer.
  3. Click the Adjust Transparency button Adjust Transparency.
  4. Drag the slider to adjust transparency, then release the button to end the command.
Tip:

Setting transparency for a group layer also effects its component layers. Setting the group layer to zero transparency returns control to the component layer settings.
