Adding the Pixel Inspector tool to a toolbar

The Pixel Inspector tool Pixel Inspector allows you to interactively view pixel values. It is similar to the Identify tool; however, it displays an array of pixel values instead of a single pixel value.

This tool is not available on any toolbar by default; however, you can added it from the Customize window in ArcMap.

  1. In ArcMap, click the Customize menu and click Customize Mode.
  2. Click the Commands tab.
  3. In the Categories list, scroll down and click Raster.
  4. From the Commands list, drag and drop the Pixel Inspector item onto any toolbar.
  5. Click Close.
Tip:
To remove the tool from the toolbar, open the Customize dialog box, click the Pixel Inspector tool, drag and drop it off the toolbar, then close the Customize dialog box.
