Top up display

The TopUp check box on the Image Analysis window is used to rotate the display so the top of the display is always oriented in the look direction of the raster dataset. This works similarly to an in-car navigation system where the choices are often either north is at the top of the screen (therefore, not using a top up option) or the screen rotates so the travel direction is always displayed at the top.

Top Up diagram

This tool only works when there is known associated rational polynomial coefficient (RPC) metadata for the raster dataset.

  1. To view the Image Analysis window, click Windows on the Main menu and click Image Analysis.
  2. Click the raster layer in the Image Analysis window.
  3. Check the TopUp check box in the Display section.

    The display rotates.

  4. To clear the rotation, uncheck the TopUp check box.
