Enabling interoperability connections

Installing the ArcGIS Data Interoperability extension enables the Interoperability Connections folder Interoperability Connections in the Catalog tree.

The following steps describe how to add the Interoperability Connections folder manually if it does not appear in the Catalog tree after installing the extension:

  1. Start ArcCatalog.
  2. Click Customize > ArcCatalog Options to open the ArcCatalog Options dialog box.
  3. Click the General tab.

  4. Check Interoperability Connections in the What top level entries do you want the Catalog to contain? list box.
  5. Click OK to close the ArcCatalog Options dialog box and apply the changes.
