Changing the text and style of titles

Using the Advanced Properties dialog box for a graph, it is possible to modify properties such as the title text and style. Additionally, subtitles, footers, and subfooters can be added.

Advanced properties for editing styles

  1. Click Titles under Chart.
  2. Click in the drop-down menu and click Title.
  3. Type the text to use for the graph title.
  4. Click Close when done.

Other properties of the title can be altered, such as position, font, and color.

The location of each of the titles can be controlled with the Alignment drop-down list of the Style tab, or manually with the Position tab.

The Font button of the Text tab controls the font, style, and size for the titles. The Color drop-down list of the Font control provides a predefined list of colors to use. To access more, click the colored box next to the Font button.

Note:

Four types of titling can be displayed in the graph and symbolized differently: Title, Sub Title, Footer, and Sub Footer.
