Changing the value field in a graph

Changing the value field allows you to visualize another field of interest in your data. For example, if you have a data pertaining to the chemical concentration in the soil, it may be useful to visualize the Nitrogen content and then flip to see the Phosphorous content in the soils. This can be achieved by changing the data field used to plot the graph.

  1. Right-click the graph window and click Properties.
  2. Click the Series tab.

Be sure to have the correct Series tab active when making changes.

  3. Click the Value field drop-down arrow and choose afield.

The label for the value field varies depending on the type of graph. For vertical line or scatterplot graphs, it is Y field, and for horizontal line graphs, it is X field.

  4. Click Apply to review, and click OK when done.
