00041: Layer's cache properties do not allow local caching

  • Solutions
  • More information

A layer contained in your basemap layer is a web map service whose cache options are set to Do Not Cache. Layers with this option are not compatible with basemap layers.

Solutions

  • You can change the caching option to Clear cache when the session ends or Keep the cache between sessions if available. Note that some web map services may not allow you to change this option. If that is the case, this layer cannot participate in a basemap layer.
  • Alternatively, if you don't need this layer, you can remove it from the map.

More information

Basemap layers cache content locally for fast display; therefore, layers that do not allow caching cannot participate in the basemap layer. For more information on basemap layers in ArcGIS, see Working with basemap layers.
