00124: Tracking layer uses unsupported tracking symbology

  • Solution
  • More information

A tracking layer in your map uses tracking symbology that is not supported.

Solution

Change the symbology of the tracking layer to remove the unsupported tracking symbology. This can be done manually, or you can right-click on the error in the Prepare window and click Change Layer Symbology to automatically remove unsupported layer symbology. If your tracking layer is drawing events or most current events using Unique Values, Text, this setting must be removed manually.

More information

The following tracking symbology, located on the Symbology tab of the Layer Properties dialog box, is not supported:

  • Time Window for Events
  • Advanced Event Options (Directional Vectors and / or Event Attributes)
  • Advanced Most Current Event Options (Directional Vectors and / or Event Attributes)
  • Events or Most Current Events drawn as Unique Values, Text
  • Advanced Tracks Options (Smooth Tracks)

The Display only the most current events in the layer setting (located on the Events section of the Time tab of the Layer Properties dialog box) is not supported. If it is enabled, then clicking Change Layer Symbology will automatically transfer the setting to equivalent settings on the Symbology tab of the Layer Properties dialog box.
