10049: Changes to the background display settings for the ArcGlobe document will not be honored

Available with 3D Analyst license.

  • Solution
  • More information

Any changes applied to the default background settings for the ArcGlobe document will not be honored.

Background settings are accessible from the Globe Properties dialog box and include:

  • background color
  • fog
  • atmospheric halo
  • stars
  • grid
  • sun position and lighting
  • ambient light

Solution

Do nothing, the settings will not be honored in the output globe service.

More information

When authoring a globe service, more care should be taken when preparing the individual layers. The properties of the document itself, such as ambient lights, sun position, background color, and exaggeration, are not reflected in a globe service. For more information about preparing your globe document and layers for globe service publishing, see Tips for authoring globe services.
