An overview of the Nautical toolbox

The Nautical toolbox contains tools for cartographic production and S-58 log validation. These tools help you create nautical cartographic data such as masks and light sectors and review Electronic Navigation Chart (ENC) errors.

Import S-57 To Geodatabase

Imports an S-57 file into a maritime charting geodatabase. Sources that can be imported include Electronic Navigational Chart (ENC), Additional Military layers (AML), and Inland Electronic Navigational Chart (IENC).

Cartography

The Nautical toolbox's Cartography toolset provides tools that can be used to finish a nautical chart for final production. These tools allow you to generate cartographic data for your charts.

DNC

The Nautical toolbox's DNC toolset provides a tool that imports Digital Nautical Chart (DNC) data into an enterprise geodatabase, a DNC NIS.

Validation

The Nautical toolbox's Validation toolset provides tools that allow you to import S-58 errors and warnings into a Data Reviewer workspace and repair nautical data.
