Summary

Post the current version edits to the parent version of the job.

Usage

  • The Input Job ID must be for a job that currently exists in the repository. This job must have a data workspace, a parent version, and a version already associated with it.

Syntax

PostJobVersion_wmx (Input_JobID, {Input_DatabasePath})
ParameterExplanationData Type
Input_JobID

The ID for the job whose edits from the job's version are going to be posted to it's parent version.

Input_DatabasePath
(Optional)

The Workflow Manager database connection file that contains the job information. If no connection file is specified, the current default workflow manager database will be used.

In this example the edits made to a job version is getting posted to the default version for the specified job ID.

# Import arcpy module
import arcpy

# Check out any necessary licenses
arcpy.CheckOutExtension("JTX")

# Local variables:
Input_JobID = "1"
Input_DatabasePath = "C:\\Program Files\\WMX\\Database\\wmx.jtc"

#Process: Post Job Version
arcpy.PostJobVersion_wmx(Input_JobID, Input_DatabasePath)

This tool does not use any geoprocessing environments
