Changing CAD annotation symbols

You can change CAD annotation symbols in ArcMap with the Layer Properties dialog box in the Fonts tab.

  1. Double-click the CAD annotation layer in the table of contents to open the Layer Properties dialog box.
    • Or right-click the CAD layer and click Properties.
  2. Click the Fonts tab.
  3. Click a row in the fonts table.

Each row lists a unique style, font, size, and color combination for all text styles contained in the CAD file.

  4. Click the drop-down arrows and formatting buttons in the Text Symbol box as needed to make changes to the CAD annotation symbols.
  5. Click OK to apply the changes and close the dialog box.
Tip:

You must convert CAD annotation to a geodatabase annotation feature class to change the font size.
