The content of your geometric network will rarely be static, and there will be times when you need to add large collections of new features, such as when new subdivisions are built. There is a command designed specifically for this purpose—adding a large amount of features to an existing geometric network within a given area.
The Network Incremental Loader command allows you to specify a collection of input classes containing the features you want loaded into your geometric network and map each one to a class within your network. The command uses a process similar to the Geometric Network wizard; it loads the features into the geometric network and discovers and builds the connectivity for the features in a batch manner that is optimized.
The Network Incremental Loader command is specifically designed for loading features into a geometric network within a given area of interest, such as a new subdivision. It is not designed for loading features that are spatially disparate or spread out. Loading features that are spread out will succeed but will take a longer period of time.
- In ArcMap, click the Customize drop-down menu.

- In the ArcMap table of contents, select one of the feature classes that participates in the geometric network into which you want to load the features and click the Geometric Network Incremental Loader command.
- Click the Add Data button and navigate to the source data. The Geometric Network Incremental Loader command can take as input any data source ArcGIS supports.
- Select the set of input feature classes.
