Locating the cache of a layer on disk

Available with 3D Analyst license.

  1. In the table of contents, right-click the layer whose cache you want to locate and click Properties.
  2. Click the Cache tab.
  3. The folder path containing the cache of the layer is specified in the Location field.

  4. Optionally, you can browse to the folder containing the cache for the layer by copying the folder path and pasting it in Windows Explorer.
  5. Click OK.
Tip:
  • To choose the folder path for copying, you can click in the Location field containing the cache folder path.
  • Click at the start of the path name and drag right to select the complete folder path. Sometimes the path is longer than what can be seen on the Cache tab window.
