New at 10.5.1
New tools
- The Advanced Callout Script Builder functionality on the Aviation Data Management toolbar allows the user to create a label expression that can be used to interactively build, format, symbolize an advanced callout and customize its structure.
- Update Geodatabase Schema is an ArcGIS for Aviation tool that compares feature classes, performs enhanced field comparison between objects, finds the differences between schemas and the geodatabases and generates a report. This utility runs independent of ArcMap. You can access information related to the tool at <Installation location>\Program Files (x86)\ArcGIS\AviationCharting\10.5.1\Utilities\UpdateGeodatabaseSchema.

Additional support is now available for the 18C/AMXM datamodel.
ArcPyProduction updates
- ImportDOF—The ArcPyProduction function that imports a Digital Obstacle File that contains only obstruction data.
- Additional support is now available for the AIXM data model.

New tools
- The Communication Navigation Surveillance Surfaces functionality on the Aviation Airports toolbar allows you to generate surfaces based on specifications given by the European Air Navigation Planning Group (EANPG).
- The Unified Facilities Criteria Surfacestool on the Aviation Airports toolbar allows you to generate surfaces based on military branch and other features.
- Obstacle Table Element is a new tool that allows you to create a table in ArcMap that organizes the output of the Obstruction Identification Surface OIS Obstruction Analysis tool.
Enhancements
- ImportAixm45, ImportAixm51, and ExportAixm51 previously used .csv files for feature mapping. With the 10.5.1 release of ArcGIS for Aviation, these tools use .json files.
- Additional support for polyline and polygon on the Terrain and Obstacle Profile dialog box.
- Take Off Climb Surface is now supported in the ICAO Annex 14 Obstruction Identification Surface.
ArcPyProduction updates
- ImportAmxm—New function to import AMXM 2.0 XML files into the Airports data model
- ExportAmxm—New function to export AMXM 2.0 XML files from the Airports data model
