Creating a 3D bookmark

Available with 3D Analyst license.

You can store the current 3D view extent as a bookmark and come back to the same location in the future.

To create a 3D bookmark, do the following:

  1. Navigate to the perspective for which you want to create a bookmark.
  2. Click the Bookmarks menu.
  3. Click Create Bookmark.
The Create Bookmark dialog box appears.
  4. Type a name for the bookmark.
  5. Click OK.
  6. To confirm your bookmark was created, click the Bookmarks menu again and the name of the bookmark you just created is listed. 3D bookmarks are stored in the menu's drop-down list. This is how you will navigate using bookmarks.
Tip:
To create or use a bookmark in a secondary viewer, right-click its title bar and click Bookmarks > Create Bookmarks or the name of the existing bookmark.
