Geoprocessing

Create Mosaic Dataset From Model is a new geoprocessing tool that allows you to create a mosaic dataset from a surface model in the Bathymetric Information System (BIS) workspace.

Deprecated at 10.6

• Mosaic datasets and overviews are no longer being managed by the BIS geodatabase. Any surface models that are updated and overwritten by the Save Surface Model tool or Create Surface Model geoprocessing tool will no longer contain a corresponding mosaic dataset and optional overviews.
• The Create Mosaic Dataset From Model and Build Overviews from Mosaic Dataset options have been removed from the Save Surface Model and Save Surface Model As dialog boxes. To create mosaic datasets from your surface models, use the Create Mosaic Dataset from Model geoprocessing tool.
• Bathymetry Data Index (BDI) backups are no longer being created when adding bathymetry data to the BIS geodatabase. The Create backup of Bathymetry Data Index option has been removed from Advanced pane of the Manage BIS Settings dialog box and the Add Bathymetry geoprocessing tool.
