Importing layer symbology

If you want to use consistent rendering between multiple layers, you can import a layer file into the renderer to display the raster dataset. This way, the raster will be displayed with the rendering parameters in the layer file. The renderer in the layer file (.lyr) must match the renderer to which you are currently importing the file.

  1. In the table of contents, right-click the raster layer and click Properties.
  2. Click the Symbology tab.
  3. Click Import Import.
  4. Choose a raster layer file to import either from the drop-down list or by navigating to the raster layer file.
  5. Click OK on the Import Symbology dialog box.
  6. Click OK on the Layer Properties dialog box.
