Use the Capture View tool on the Animation toolbar to capture the camera view (ArcScene or ArcGlobe) or the extent of the map (ArcMap), and save these perspective views as keyframes in a camera or a map view track. The resulting track will be an interpolation between the keyframes, making a smooth animation. For example, you can create a track that rotates your scene or globe, zooming in and out to points of interest along the way, or you can zoom in on a map, then pan to a particular location.
Capturing perspective views captures the camera view or the map's extent, not the contents (the data) within the view.
- If the Animation toolbar is not present in your application, click Customize on the main menu of the application, point to Toolbars, then click Animation.
- Navigate to the perspective (the camera view in ArcScene or ArcGlobe, or the map extent in ArcMap) you want to capture.
- Click the Capture View button on the Animation toolbar.
- Repeat steps 2 and 3 to capture more views as keyframes in a map view track in ArcMap or a camera track in ArcScene or ArcGlobe.
