How to control the level of detail displayed for a globe

  1. Click the Tools menu and click Options.
  2. Click the 3D Data View tab.
  3. Use the Level of detail sliders to control the amount of detail that is displayed for the draped imagery and elevation.
  4. Click OK.

    Note:

    This setting only applies to published maps with 3D globe content.

Tip:

The level of detail settings can have adverse effects on performance. Use the level of detail that is appropriate for your data and computing resources.
