How to turn the splash screen off

The splash screen is on by default. Follow the steps below to turn the splash screen off.

1. Click the Tools menu and click Options.
2. Click the General tab.
3. Uncheck Show splash screen.
4. Click OK.

The next time you start ArcReader, the splash screen is not displayed.

Tip:

The splash screen is the image that appears when you start an ArcGIS Desktop application. Typically, a splash screen shows the version and name of the application.
