Existing Location Referencing users

Available with Location Referencing license.

The ArcGIS Location Referencing setup is designed to detect and upgrade an existing installation of Location Referencing. You don't need to uninstall previous versions of Location Referencing Desktop before installing a newer version.

Tip:

To find out which ArcGIS Desktop products are currently installed on your machine, download the PatchFinder utility from the Esri Support site and run it from your local machine.

Existing Pipeline Referencing users

All desktop functionality required for ArcGIS Pipeline Referencing is available in ArcGIS Pro as ArcGIS Location Referencing. If you publish your location referencing services using ArcGIS Pro, you do not need to install ArcGIS Pipeline Referencing Desktop (ArcMap).

Existing Roads and Highways users

The Roads and Highways setup is designed to detect and upgrade an existing installation of Roads and Highways. You don't need to uninstall previous versions of ArcGIS Roads and Highways Desktop before installing Roads and Highways 10.9.1.

Roads and Highways functionality continues to expand in ArcGIS Pro. New Roads and Highways functionality is introduced in ArcGIS Pro only.
