| esriScaleBarFixed | 0 | Use specified division and number of divisions. |
| esriScaleBarAutoDivision | 1 | Use specified number of divisions and calculate division. |
| esriScaleBarAutoDivisions | 2 | Use specified division and calculate number of divisions. |
| esriScaleBarAutoDivisionAndDivisions | 3 | Use specified division and calculate number of divisions. If specified division doesn't fit in bounding box or causes labels to be crowded, recalculate it to fit better. |
