Provides access to the common functionality found on all dataset components. Note: the IDatasetComponent interface has been superseded by IDatasetComponent2. Please consider using the more recent version.

Read-only property Parent The containing parent dataset.

Classes that implement IDatasetComponent

Classes Description
CadastralFabric (esriGeoDatabaseExtensions) A container for querying information about a cadastral fabric.
MosaicDataset (esriDataSourcesRaster) A mosaic dataset object.
RepresentationClass A Feature Class Representation object.
Terrain (esriGeoDatabaseExtensions) The Esri Terrain component.

Remarks

The IDatasetComponent interface is used to access the data element and parent dataset of this dataset.
