Create and mosaic a raster dataset in a file geodatabase

Purpose
This sample demonstrates how to use geoprocessing tools to create a file geodatabase (FGDB), create a raster catalog inside the FGDB, then load raster data from a location on disk into the raster catalog. It also demonstrates how to mosaic datasets in the raster catalog using ArcObjects.

How to use

See How to use ArcGIS samples for help on running the sample.

  1. Execute the sample.
  2. After sample execution is complete, examine the FileMosaicSample.gdb file geodatabase in your output folder, the sampleRasCat raster catalog in the geodatabase, and the two raster datasets in the sampleRasCat raster catalog. Also examine the mosaicked raster—fileMosaicSample.img—in your output folder.

If you installed the samples feature, you will find the files associated with this sample in <Your Developer Kit install location>\DeveloperKit10.4\Java\Samples\ArcObjects.
